Week 11 Reflective Post

This week, we made some good progress with the music video. We got a good couple of shots in some dark alleyways in London which we used to introduce the character to the audience.

This was one of the shots that we filmed for the introduction of the  character. Firstly, the artist has his back to the camera that signifies mystery which we wanted to capture about the artist since he is an underground figure. Also, though it may not be perfectly visible, there is a British flag in front of the artist which instantly tells the audience where the artist is from and thus the artist will be associated with British culture. Finally, our use of dark clothing and lighting for this shot was done because we wanted to keep the artist on the low for now as we are simply introducing him.

This was another shot that was filmed and that we decided to use. This was shot in a very narrow alleyway which can connote danger to the audience as dark narrow alleyways are a usual location that signifies trouble. We can also see his lower body which we used dark clothing which was inspiration taken from Logic's Young jesus.

Other than working on the music video, we started to take pictures of our artist that we would use in the ancillary products. This was one of our pictures and we believed that it was excellent in representing the artist. Firstly, the graffiti'd background captivates how the artist is not in a rich area but more of a working class area which is where you would normally see illegal activities happening. Also, his clothing is rather similar to the one that we used in the music video except for the jacket but we believed that this would create enough synergy as the artist does not look totally different.
